About
I’m a retired teacher, having taught almost twenty-nine years, two years in a private school and the other 27 in the public schools. After receiving my bachelor’s degree at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA, I attened Florida State University where I received a master’s in theatre with a major emphasis on directing and a minor in education.
My last job was teaching Talented Theatre, traveling from school to school teaching those kids who’d been identified as talented in theatre. (Note: I’ve been teaching part time in the same position since October.)
I spend my time writing, directing a summer performing arts camp, and directing plays in several venues. My writing includes plays, poetry, screenplays, short stories, and an almost-ready-to publish nonfiction book for teachers who want to start a drama program in their schools. I’ve published several articles, poems, a nonfiction book, and a children’s musical.
